Q: Where do i fly into and how do i get to rocky mountain motos?

A: We have 3 airports close by (“close” is a relative term in Big Sky Country). Rent a car or grab a taxi/Uber to get to us. We also have a couple drivers in Billings ready to meet you at the airport and drive you to us (or back to the airport after your adventure) for just $75. Plug our address into your Google maps: 510 Broadway Ave N, Red Lodge

Airport Distance:
Billings, Montana - 1 hour
Cody, Wyoming - 1 hour
Bozeman, Montana - 2 hours

Q: Where can I sleep the first night?

A: There are several hotels/motels in Red Lodge, and a great selection of AirBNBs/VRBOs. Check Expedia, Booking, etc. for availability.

There are also several campgrounds within a 15 minute ride. They may be full during peak summer season, but there is plenty of unimproved camping along Glacier Lake Road, about 15 minutes south of town. GPS coords: 45.0278449,-109.4422158

Q: do you have other rental items available?

A: We have a selection of equipment you may wish to rent for your ride.

Q: can i use my own insurance?

A: Yes, we can accept your insurance if you bring a motorcycle insurance ID card. If you don’t have your own insurance, we provide mandatory insurance for $15 per day.

Q: what if i only have a learner’s permit?

A: Sorry, but our insurance company requires a valid motorcycle endorsement. Permits are not allowed.

Q: can I stash some of my stuff with you while I’m riding?

A: You sure can!

Q: Can I leave my rental car with you while I’m riding?

A: No problem at all. There is plenty of nearby street parking for short rides, and free long-term parking in town for longer rides.

Q: where should I ride?

A: We’ll give you some friendly pointers for various roads and trails when you’re picking up your bike. We also have Butler off-road maps available for purchase. Check out The Area page for several must-sees.

Q: are panniers/side bags included?

A: We include soft drybag panniers. These are 100% waterproof, and will not break your heels when navigating rocky trails. Each side has 27.5 liters of capacity.

Q: what happens if i crash the bike?

A: Call the police if needed. Then, call us. You are responsible for all towing arrangements and damages to the motorcycle. We will try to assist with locating a tow company near you.

Q: what happens if i get a flat tire?

A: Just like renting a car, it is your responsibility to get the flat fixed and resume your adventure. We include a flat repair kit with compressor on all bikes, so you can repair on the spot. Otherwise, call a tow company and have the bike transported to a motorcycle shop.
