About the owner
Richard Barnett, owner & founder of Rocky Mountain Motos is a long-time motorcycle adventurer, racer (4 decades!) and collector. He has explored all of the USA on bikes, including a ride up to Alaska’s Arctic Ocean in 2017, and has ridden motos in over 40 countries. He has visited over 120 countries in all. He has a classic 1999 Honda Africa Twin 750 based in Europe. Africa and India are his next planned rides.
Richard has always dreamed of offering motorbike rentals to adventurers from around the world from his base in Montana. With the USA introduction of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, the pieces finally came together to offer a simple, low-cost motorbike perfectly suited to people of all sizes, and for the widely varying terrain of the Rockies.
He is most at home putting slowly along scenic roads and trails at 40 mph, taking in as much as possible, with frequent stops for an espresso.
